PANTHERA 2025-2026

After beginning as an exploration of natural subjects, 'Tigris' and 'Silence' became the foundation of what would become a larger project, PANTHERA. What started as interest in capturing the detail and character of wildlife evolved into focusing on the animals within the Panthera genus, bringing five pieces together as a shared concept. 

As the project developed the focus moved beyond the visual qualities of the animals themselves. Each piece became an exploration of emotions and states of mind, communicating expressions beyond a physical appearance through the presence and pose of the subjects. The collection approaches ideas of self-confidence, wisdom, fury and peace with individual pieces representing an individual mindset or emotion. However, together as a collection they represent the wider experience of life, highlighting its different scenarios and perspectives.

PANTHERA is centred around exploring an interest in the natural world alongside a personal exploration of emotion and character, using wildlife as a lens through which to examine experiences extending beyond the subjects themselves.
